It depends on where you are, where the car is going, and the truck the job needs. You get a full quote before you commit to anything, and asking for one is free with no obligation to book.

The quote you agree to is what the tow costs. Tax appears as its own line on the invoice rather than being folded into the total, so you can see exactly what you paid for.

A hold goes on your card when you book, and the balance is settled once the tow is finished. Nothing is taken while you are still waiting for a driver, and nothing is taken if we cannot find you one.

Your job goes to the nearest available drivers within 50 miles. Each has 35 seconds to take it, and we keep re-offering it every 30 seconds for up to 10 minutes. If nobody takes it in that time we tell you and release the hold, rather than leaving you watching a spinner.

The moment a driver accepts you get their name, the truck to look for by make, model, colour and plate, and a live map showing where they are. We text you again when they are close.

Choose flatbed if the car sits low, has larger wheels, is a 4x4, or will not roll. If you are not sure, choose flatbed - it suits more vehicles.

Yes. Pick the shop as your destination when you book. Shops on TowBoss publish their opening hours, so you are not sent to a garage that closed at six.

Cancelling is free any time before a driver accepts, and free for five minutes after they accept, which is the window before anyone has really set off. After that a cancellation fee applies and the hold on your card is used to pay it.

There is a Get help link on the tracking screen at every stage. Use it, or call dispatch on 832-605-5494. You do not have to wait it out.

Choose Sign up, then Driver. You will need a valid driver licence and current insurance, and you upload both during signup. An administrator reviews the account before it goes live, so it is not instant.

Open your profile and choose Set up payouts. Stripe hosts the bank details form and handles the identity checks, so you do not need a Stripe account of your own. Payment for completed jobs then arrives automatically.

You go online automatically when you log in. Jobs are offered to the nearest drivers who are online, so if you are offline you are not in the running.

Choose Sign up, then Vendor. Once you are approved your shop appears on the map customers pick their destination from, and tows are referred straight to you.

One dollar for your first month, then $20 a month, with no contract and no sign-up fee. Membership is what puts your shop in front of customers.
